Description:
- HamGeek BS-188 is different from the original MCHF-QRP, using the mainstream hardware version MCHF-V0.6.3 on the market, which has been improved by increasing the transmission power, adding a built-in battery and MIC for handheld use, and changing the PTT to use with a large knob press.
- DSP processing can simulate intermediate frequency filters with various bandwidth characteristics. In SSB/CW mode, the bandwidth of the intermediate frequency filter can be set in steps of 50Hz or 100Hz between 50Hz and 3600Hz. HAM players who play CW particularly enjoy the narrow mid frequency range of 100Hz to 300Hz, which is very useful for distinguishing telegraph audio. Single sideband generally defaults to an intermediate frequency bandwidth of 2.4kHz. Narrowing the bandwidth can increase the resolution of the received speech, but too small a bandwidth can affect the quality of the speech.

User Instructions:
- Regarding charging: The machine is equipped with 18650 three string high current power supply batteries, which must be charged using the original charger. It is strictly prohibited to use other adapters for charging. When charging, the side switch must be turned off. Do not use the machine to work while charging.
- Do not power on with a small USB port plugged in, the screen will turn white. Actually, it is equivalent to short circuiting P6 to enter DFU mode for flashing operation. Just remove the USB and restart the device.
- Regarding the large port USB: used to connect a USB keyboard for numerical mode operations such as RTTY, PSK31, Dv, etc.
- It is strictly prohibited to transmit without connecting the resonant antenna. It will damage the amplifier tube.
- The function of pressing the large knob is PTT, please be careful not to emit for a long time.
- The opening under the large knob is for a built-in microphone, which can also be used to insert an external handheld microphone.
- Sometimes it is found that there is no power output when pressing PTT. Please check if you are currently using MIC input mode. You can cycle and long press the RIT (M3) button to select correctly.
- This machine is a resistive touch screen. Please lightly touch and press with a hard object. The display bar can cycle through SWR, ALC, and AUD. In AUD mode, pressing PTT can display the level of transmitted voice.
- Press and hold the BW button to activate bandwidth selection, press and hold to confirm.
- In RTTY, PSK, DV and other data modes, the keyboard must be used to stop the transmission. If the transmission cannot be terminated due to accidental triggering, the device can be turned off and restarted.
- The helper indicator bar for decoding function can facilitate auxiliary decoding.
- Due to the built-in use of SI5351 oscillator, the TCXO function may not be obvious.
- This machine can be connected to an external power amplifier, and the PTT synchronization line uses an ACC port with effective grounding.
- Lightly press the power button once to adjust the backlight brightness. Some levels may interfere with reception, please use the brightest level. The impact is small.
- Press BAND- and hold it down, then press BAND+, and release it at the same time to display the spectrum, waterfall, spectrum waterfall, etc. in a loop.
- When there is no need to transmit, long press F5 (TUNE) to turn gray and only receive. It can prevent accidental transmission.
- In CW mode, long press the AF key to enter CW recording call mode.
- Press STEP- and hold, then press STEP+, and release at the same time to lock the frequency. Operate again to unlock.
